Nylon is a strong synthetic fabric used by many manufacturers to make underwear thanks to its elasticity. The material is very durable and resistant to heat, mildew and snags. Despite its durability, nylon pantyhose can be damaged if you do not wash them and take care of them properly. Taking care of them will help you to last longer and maintain their shape so they look good.
Wash nylon pantyhose in warm or cold water in the washing machine. Avoid using hot water, which can deface the size and shape of the fabric. Use chlorine-free bleach if necessary and add fabric softener to the rinse cycle.
Dry panties in dryer at low temperature. If you give it a lot of heat you can make it shrink and the fibers weaken.
Put the pantyhose in a net bag for washing if you are going to wash them next to other clothes that have zippers, snaps or other accessories that could snag or break them. Move the bag to the dryer to dry them.
Fold the pantyhose and place them in a drawer to store them. If you are keeping them with the bodices, which have clasps, use a divider of drawers so that they do not hook your panties.
