7-Day Brown Rice Diet

The diet of brown rice 7 days, or cleanse, is a detox diet to eliminate toxins from your body. The diet offers numerous food choices and is centered around brown rice. The diet is for seven days, during which you eat brown rice, fruits and vegetables. Some fats are allowed and the size of the portion is not restricted. Beverages must be decaffeinated and herbal teas are allowed. Brown rice should be eaten at lunch and dinner, although variations in diet allow eating brown rice for breakfast.

What to expect

On the seven-day brown rice diet you may feel less bloated, more energetic, and lose weight. It is not unusual to have some adverse symptoms, since your body eliminates toxins and avoids addictive substances such as caffeine.Side effects can include tiredness, hunger, irritability, nausea and headache.
