How To Avoid The Excoriations Produced By The Bicycle

Riding a bicycle is a way of effective training to improve resistance and get strong legs. The fact that it is a low impact activity makes it beneficial for those who have joint problems. A problem that can affect you negatively when riding a bicycle is the abrasions on the inside of your thighs produced by the seat. Observe a few basic tips that can help you avoid them.

Use padded bike pants to relieve the constant rubbing pressure of your bike seat. Experiment with different thicknesses until you find the one that suits your needs. They are usually made of foam or wool.

Apply a thin layer of Vaseline to the inside of your thighs or to the inside panels of your bike pants before you walk.

Adjust your position on the seat while you are walking so that you are not always rubbing against the seat the same part of your thighs.

Replace your bicycle seat with a narrower one if you feel that the width is causing your thighs to suffer chafing from excessive pressure.
