One of the Most frustrating things about shin guards is that they constantly slip off your leg while you play soccer. Unless you have a pair of expensive shin guards, it will take a lot of effort to keep them in place. In addition, although soccer socks are designed to hold them when pressed against your legs, most of the time both slip at the same time. However, there is an easy way to keep your shin guards in place using tape.
Make sure the shin guard is in the position where you would like it to stay. Decide if you want to place tape on your socks or directly on your skin. Although this last option offers a better grip, removing it is much more painful. Conversely, placing the tape over the socks will make the shin guards a little less tight, but it will be much more comfortable.
If you wish, put on the socks and make sure that the shin guards are correctly positioned. Unroll six inches of tape and place it on the front of your shin, just below where the shin guard is.
Wrap your leg with the ribbon by making several full wraps around it and make sure it is tight, but without obstructing blood flow. Cut the tape from the roll and stick the end well.
