Although the Skin So Soft Avon was Originally a bath oil, many people have found it useful for other applications that include its use as a household cleanser. Since its introduction, Avon has expanded bath oil to a whole line that currently has insect repellent, body oil and deodorant.
Although Avon currently offers a variety of Skin So Soft products, it is the original bath oil that appears to be most versatile. Among its additional uses are its use as makeup remover and tanning oil. Keep in mind, however, that Skin So Soft does not offer sun protection. It calms the burns and also moisturizes the hands and softens the cuticles.
Uses in pets
Skin So Soft can be sprayed on your dog to help heal dry skin and also to make your fur shine. So Soft Skin can be used to keep fleas at bay after a flea bath. Simply dilute the Skin So Soft in water and rinse your dog with it after you have applied an anti-flea shampoo. Make sure to rinse your dog's shampoo before applying the Skin So Soft solution.
Skin So Soft bath oil is sometimes used as an insect repellent in humans, although its effectiveness is questionable. Research from the University of Florida found that Skin So Soft repels mosquitoes for about 10 minutes.
Cleaner and polisher
The original Skin So Soft can be used as a multi-purpose polish for wood surfaces. You can use it in your car as a cleaner / polisher on the instrument panel and on any other hard interior surface. So Soft skin can be used in the kitchen to dissolve grease and in the bathroom to dissolve soap scum. In the same way you can clean the paint of the brushes, sponges and hands.
Other uses of the original Skin So Soft bath oil include its aerosol use to lubricate door or cabinet joints. This removes the sticky residues left on the skin by the bandages and also the remains of glue on the metal and plastic. Spray Skin So Soft on the headlights of your vehicle and clean dirt and insects.
