The amount of calories you burn depends on your weight and the intensity level of the exercise. The figures cited here are estimated for a 150-pound person. But even if you choose an exercise that burns fewer calories, such as walking, bowling or boating, all in the 200-calorie-per-hour range, you'll still win.
